To start or stop water and/or sewer services, call Vallecitos Water District at (760) 744-0460 and ask for the Customer Service Department. For quicker service, please have the service address or account number ready when you call.

Starting Water and/or Sewer Services

StartStopThere is a sign-up fee and deposit required to start water and/or sewer services with Vallecitos Water District.  There are two ways to start your new service:

1) The quickest way to start service is to call one business day prior to the day you want service to begin. Vallecitos will be able to connect your service within 24 hours. You will need to provide the following information to our Customer Service Representatives to begin your service: Name, service address, mailing address, phone number, social security number, driver's license number and date of birth. If renting, you will also need to provide the owner's name, address and telephone number.  Commercial accounts will need to provide the Tax ID number.

2) Another way to start service is to complete the online Customer Reference Form below, which must be filled out completely and received 48 hours prior to the desired start date. You will still need to contact Customer Service to provide your social security number, driver's license number and date of birth. (Please note that your service will not start until you call with this required information.)

Will you be renting your residential property? If so, you can also sign up for our automatic rollover option to avoid disruption of service between tenants. Please complete the customer reference form and email the automatic rollover form to VWDCustService@vwd.org.  The form must be filled out completely and received 48 hours prior to the desired start date.

Stopping Water and/or Sewer Services

To stop your services with Vallecitos Water District, call us one business day prior to the day you would like to end service. You will need to provide our Customer Service Representatives with a forwarding address for your final bill, as well as verification of your account with either your social security number, driver's license number or date of birth (or Tax ID number for commercial accounts). If you have your payment automatically deducted, when service is stopped your final bill will be automatically deducted and the Auto pay will then be cancelled.
