The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for taking care of the District’s water and sewer infrastructure. They are literally the “invisible men and women” of our District, working behind-the-scenes to ensure that your faucet turns and your toilets flush the way they should. They can often be found working late at night, waist high in ice cold water to make sure that you always have reliable water and wastewater service at your home or business. Why do they do this? Because they are passionate about what they do and take pride in their work.

They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Operations and Maintenance staff are experienced, highly trained and certified and are well respected in the industry. Many have professional certifications beyond their job requirements and a few are industry experts who teach water and wastewater courses at Palomar College.
