Erik Groset was appointed to the Vallecitos Water District board in 2023. A resident of Carlsbad since 2004, Groset's involvement in the community includes having recently served on the advisory board for the college of business (CoBA) at California State University San Marcos and volunteering for the Career Technical Education Advisory Board at Carlsbad High School. Groset has been a speaker at The White House and California State Capital on the topic of entrepreneurship. He has co-founded several startups, and is presently the CEO of a local venture backed startup.

Mr. Groset earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Management from CSUSM. He resides in La Costa Ridge in Carlsbad with his wife Tiffany and their 2 daughters.
