Vallecitos Water District is an equal opportunity employer. The District prohibits discrimination against employees, or applicants for employment, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law. The District will afford equal employment opportunity to all qualified employees and applicants as to all terms and conditions of employment, including compensation, hiring, training, promotion, transfer, discipline, and termination. As required by State law, the current California Family Rights Act notice is posted to ensure its accessibility to applicants.

California law states that all disaster service workers must sign an oath or affirmation before beginning their duties. Because all public employees are automatically considered disaster service workers, District employees must sign the oath or affirmation on their first day of work. (California Constitution, Article 20.3; California Government Code 3101 – 3103)

All Vallecitos positions and employees are considered at-will.
