Vallecitos Water District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, which meets every first and third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.  Meetings can be attended in-person or viewed virtually. 

In an effort to increase transparency to ratepayers, Vallecitos began airing its public meetings on San Marcos TV (SMTV) in August of 2013. Residents may tune into SMTV on Cox Communications Channel 19, Time Warner Channel 24 or AT&T U-verse Channel 99 to view the meetings, which will air as follows:

• 1^st Wednesday Board Meeting - Airs on the Monday following the Wednesday meeting at 6:30 pm
• 3^rd Wednesday Board Meeting - Airs on the Monday following the Wednesday meeting at 6:30 pm

Vallecitos Water District's service area contains five divisions, which can be viewed on the District's division map. To see which Board member serves your area, click on the interactive division map.

The five members of the Board of Directors are elected to four-year terms. The positions of president and vice president are rotated annually. Directors are also appointed to serve on working committees within the District (Engineering/Equipment, Finance/Investment, Legal/Legislative, Public Awareness/Personnel), as well as regional, state and national associations and organizations.

Election information

Vallecitos' directors are elected officials representing each of Vallecitos' five divisions.
Individuals interested in serving on the board are invited to visit the County of San Diego Registrar of Voters for the latest information on how to file as a candidate, including filing deadlines.
