The Plan Check process typically involves at least two plan check submittals. The second and subsequent plan check submittals are in response to comments or correction, requested or required by Vallecitos Water District. Plan check redlines returned to the engineer after the first plan check need to be included with each subsequent submittal. The redlined plans are used as a reference aid to verify all corrections are made as requested. The original plans or redlines are also used to compare any additional changes that may have been made to address comments.
Subsequent Plan Check Submittal Requirements
Transmittal Letter:
A separate letter of transmittal shall be submitted to the District for each project. Each letter of transmittal should be on company letterhead, including the project engineers name and contact information, clearly showing each item that is being submitted and shall reference the appropriate Once assigned the District work order number and project number should be included on each subsequent transmittal.
Revised Bond Copies:
Two complete revised bond copy sets of the improvement plans shall be submitted along with the redlined check print from the previous plan check to the District.
Fire Marshal:
The Fire Marshal must review and approve plans before the Districts final review.
Engineer’s Bonding Estimate:
An engineer’s bonding estimate for all water and sewer improvements with a wet signature and stamp shall be submitted to the District. Please refer to Bonding Cost Estimate
Easements:
Easement plats and legal descriptions shall be submitted to the District. (if applicable).

Title Report:
A current title report for property(s), shall be submitted to the District and must be dated within 60 days of construction.
